Ocean Break Skateboards is a small, family-operated line of skateboarding equipment. We believe in skateboarding’s key role in developing empowered youths and fulfilled adults.

Many studies show the beneficial role “extreme” sports such as skateboarding can play in the development of children’s psychology. Overcoming the risk factor (in a controlled setting and with proper protective equipment) can be a joyful source of self-confidence that transcends skateboarding. It teaches children that it is normal to fall: the important thing is to stand up and try again! The lessons learned from the process can be rewarding, and applicable to all areas of a kid’s development.

At Ocean Break Skateboards, we put a lot of energy into developing skateboard equipment adapted to young riders. We are constantly aiming to fill the pool of young kids practicing the sport for fun, as it is recommended by long-term athlete development science. We like to think that the earlier you get into it, the earlier you can reap the profound benefits of skateboarding, carrying the precious gift through life.
